Any recommendations on which hooks to use when using hair rigged maize with Kryston mantis with the coating stripped back?
Any advice is much appriciated.

Kamasan B175 are excellent hooks for particles, very strong, very sharp and also very cheap. If there good enough for Lee Jackson then who am i to argue?!

Cant believe it,went to buy my favourite hooks (Drennan Boilie Hooks) and was told that he had run out and was not getting anymore because no one uses them .
Ive used these for years and years with no problems, so if antone finds a stockist let me know please. ta.

If no one uses them how come they out of stock?

think 80% of my hooks are drennan super specialist rest made up with owner and animal

Trinders tackle has the boilie hook listed not sure about stock

I like Ashima C310 hooks for particles. Unfortunately they have stopped making them.

Dave Parkes of Rotherham has plenty of Drennan Boilie hooks in stock the last time I looked.

I use them too. The size 12 is an excellent maggot and caster hook for barbel

Funny you should mention drennan boilie hooks they were my number 1 choice. I always used to use them and never dropped a run but I've had a gap of a few years where I havnt fished so when I started again I tried to get some but they don't have them anymore so I used some carp company hooks which they guy in the shop recommended but drop several runs in one session with them.

I was informed last year that dreenan had stopped manufacturing the continental boilie hook, so bought a shed load when I came across em, only to find they are still in production!!!

Leslies have 'em, as do the Tackle box.

I think its just my local shop that has stopped selling them.
What youve got to see is the big difference in prices shop to shop.
