Barbed or barbless

What do you think, barbed or barbless.I think barbed hooks stay in the mouth without twisting and turning thus causing less damage than barbless. On the downside you sometimes have trouble getting a barbed hook out of a well hooked carp,ie well in the scissors. You only have to see carp on waters that have barbless only to see parrot mouths on the carp to prove that barbless hooks cause damage.

parrot mouths were around before barbless hooks (i use barbed when i can) people should cut the hook if they are having probs getting them out (providing you can get both bits out). the cost of a hooks nothing compared with a carp?
