Fishing in South Africa

Im shortly going to South Africa for a month. Will also be going to Botswana and Namibia. Does anyone have any advice about freshwater fishing in these countries. Most of my fishing is with lures, but I am more than happy to try anything.

You are going to one of the best fishing countries in the world when it comes to lure fishing. The Okavango Swamps in Botswana have some of the most incredible fishing in the world. Do a google search on Okavango Swamps tiger fishing or try Malcolm Meintjes@entrepot.co.za. I have known Malcolm since he was 18 years of age and today he has a regular spot on SABC TV

I actually don't know where to start when it comes to fishing in Southern Africa. There is so much of it. The coast of Namibia has some of the best sea angling of its type in the world, and I mean - IN THE WORLD.

The inland reservoirs of Kwazulu Natal have bigger LM bass on average than they do in the States.

I lived in this part of the world for 27 years of my life.
