Lost Fish

I lost a big Mullet yesterday in Christchurch Harbour.I wont bore you with the details but I am still smarting now!Given that I've been fishing for 20years I'm surprised losing a good fish can still have this effect.

Do others feel the same about the one that got away or has age & experience mellowed you?

Why is it also that a big fish lost sticks in the mind much more than those that we land?

Age and experience I'm sure do not mellow you.I think that I can remember the details of all the one's that got away, more than the details of some of my PB's
