Went trout fishing on Saturday to Press Manor Fisheries. At the moment it@s not affected by FMD. Fished with my friend Danny Peet of Sheffield - Last season's England disabled team captain, from the Wheelie Boat that has just been installed on this water. Got 8 nice fish upt to 2lbs, Danny got 12 (C&R limit).
It was a really good day in spite of sleet flurries and squalls. All the fish were in remarkable condition. No sign of spawny cocks. Most of them took damsel and buzzer imitations.
Press Manor is really worth a trip. It's a 9 acre little Victorian reservoir with all the delightful features one would expect.
