I this article, though very informative brings around a good case for fishing line standard rating, maybe a kite mark and official technical specification grading system, after all manufacturers do know all this stuff eg, how limp, strong (to diameter), refractive index, abrasion resistant, etc.
Surely this is more important, to us the angler, than kite marked nets. Thats just common sense.
