If it's coarse rods you are building you can try Agutters or Chapmans, both have websites.

For fly rod components: Steve Parton - Sparton Tackle is probably the best.

I'd also consider Hopkins and Holloway who have two sites, strangely..they supply the rings to all the others, on the whole.

Fishing rod blanks and guides - buy online

Hopkins Holloway - specialist fishing tackle and fishing tackle components - Seymo, Fuji, Stonefly, Tomlin

However they have dropped some high bells rings from the catalogue after a recent change of owner, so I'd go to Chapmans who have these made elsewhere...their site is sparse on rings, true, but they are all in stock and the site is a lot easier to use than H&H.

R Chapman & Co - Split Cane Blanks by British Craftsmen

Cork may be a problem, the good stuff is hard to find...there is some on eBay at the moment, if these folk can't help.......

Yes, but as I said the firm changed hands and has dropped some of the smaller rings from the high bells range. They also chromed all their black ring sets ( as used by Milward) and and no longer offer them.

Chapmans, on the other hand, found another manufacturer, and have a full range.

Between the two you can get most of what you want, but for the older traditional stuff I'd call John at Chapmans first.

I have been looking for Walker Of Kent , which was very good for rod building parts , but they have been closed since the early 80`s , time flys when your not looking .
But , this is for Ron , it may be of some interest ;WHY WE DO IT
