Fishing Tackle - Masterline Impulse Wide Arbor Fly Reels

What are these like?

My mate is going to sell me one for a 5er just wondering what they are like if anyone has had any experience with them.

Bennetts of Sheffield wouldn't stock rubbish so I would imagine this reel would be OK

Depending on the general condition of the reel it should be okay.

A couple of points though:

1. It is a wide arbour reel so you won't get a lot of backing on the spool

2. The advert says that there is no spare spool. I always get at least one spare spool with each of my fly reels. One for a floating line and the other for a sink tip or fully sinkingl ine.

All that said, for a fiver you can't go far wrong I guess.

It is only for the river tho. I won't be needing much backing line at all. What would it be like on a 7ft rod?
