Ok here's the thing as some of you will know I ripped apart my local river during the summer but now in winter the river level is up and all the accesable "obvious" swims are raging torrents. So is it worth fishing in the full current? Id describe the river as like the Severn on a bad day!!!

Usually get at least 25 - 30 runs a session went on Saturday only had two!! 16lber and lost the other to a new snag (probably a tree from last floods.

So any advice on river carp when river in this state or should I concentrate on the lakes???? Its just much more fun on the river and MUCH BIGGER fish...

Cheers

Kiwi - I guess its like any other river and species, they will tend to find hiding places out of a raging current. I always find that when you locate a possible looking place for the fish to be hiding up in its normally impossible to fish to!

There are trees everywhere!!!and the odd place where you can get near the water the trees have only fell in so impossible to fish anyway
