Tripod

I've got a Finepix S5800. I also have a mini tripod but my camera doesn't sit on this (side heavy).
Can anyone recommend a half decent tripod that will hold the camera? Looking for something compact that will fit into a small fishing bag.

Gorilla pod.

As well as being ground standing, you can wrap it around almost anything (bank sticks, trees etc.) - except a big fat tractor driver bird from the Volga area of Russia.

A Gardner Tackle camera adapter which attaches a camera to a bank stick will work, especially on soft banks. To get portrait mode - camera vertical - you need a cheap ball head; I got one for about £8 from Jessops.
