As well as being ground standing, you can wrap it around almost anything (bank sticks, trees etc.) - except a big fat tractor driver bird from the Volga area of Russia.

A Gardner Tackle camera adapter which attaches a camera to a bank stick will work, especially on soft banks. To get portrait mode - camera vertical - you need a cheap ball head; I got one for about £8 from Jessops.

Thank you guys. I'm bidding on a gorilla pod at the moment, even if I win that I think I'll get the bank stick adapter.

Wont be passing your rough neighbourhood any time soon. I don't want the postman having a go at me, or the kid who throws tyres in trees throwing tyres at me, or the man who makes his dog poo on you........

Auction it for the charity, or I'll give you a fiver plus p&p lol

thats all we need ............a blind mod ha ha ha
So I repeat -

What's wrong with a Gorilla Pod?

You're giving one away, I take it you musn't like it, I think otherwise why are you giving it away? What's wrong with it?

(You see how easy it is to misunderstand a comment? Nothing has as yet been said and yet I have to know the answer. I'm not psychic you know. ;) )

Marsbar sold me a D200 a lot lighter
Aha! So, you're another that sells and buys cameras like the changing of the wind. Do you tell your wife what you've done?..

I know someone who doesn't.....

Then again, if my wife knew how much I spent on tackle she'd be a widow and I wouldn't be writing this now. :(

As much as I hate to admit it, Cakey has a bigger one than me

But it's what you can do with it that counts :D
