As i only have limited time to carp fish would you say im wasting my time fishing while its 30 degrees.
If its still worth going should i cut down the amount of bait im putting in?

I do shift work ,and this weekend is my long weekend(off day`s and go back on night`s),but I feel That I would be on a hideing to nothing , if I fished while it is this hot.

I walked round Snetterton lakes yesterday and today and on both occassions saw 1/2 doz decent fish close to the bank under tree cover. A couple had their backs out of the water. They were obviously not feeding and weren't too worried when having observed them for a few minutes I risked moving closer, not spooky at all, they just seemed too lethargic to do anything.

The Carp will quite confidently come to the surface though in hot weather, don't they?

Yes, but it doesn`t mean they are going to feed.
Last sataday,from 6am to 8pm,carp topping,tried floater`s,zig rig`s,bottom bait`s,aprox 12people fishing,all blanked.
I fished 40hrs not a touch.
