The Isle of Skye

My son and I will be in Skye next week and hope to do some fishing (2 days). Advice on venues and tackle would be welcome.

My friend Eric used to fish Skye annualy. I seem to remember he fished the River Snizort for Salmon. He also had some large Common Skate, I think from a sea loch. The hotels will probably be able to give you more info as to game fishing. Sorry I can?t be more specific as I?m talking a few years ago.

unforttunatly we had raging storms and the rivers were in full spate and the Storr Lochs with 4 foot waves.
The R Snizort looks good all be it in a very forbidding valley. The Hotel controls its 20 or so one man beats. It does let out fishing to none resients if spare beats available. Prices reasonabel,form Salmon fishing starting at ?20 per day. Fished R Tummel at Pitlochry below the dam. Low water. Beautiful river but little action(one brown trout ) Tight Lines
