Would a 1.5oz bomb be enough to set the hook into nearly double figure carp. Also could somebody plz tell me how to use these safety leads clips as before I've just used Korda Rubber tubing.

depends on the size of hook, how tough the fishes mouth is, slack lines or tight, silt, gravel or weed.............

isnt bolt rig anti eject???iv used it and it helps with a shorter rig.Even when the carp feels the resistance and spits it out the hooks in its bottom lip.
