Hey all,
just joined up a small two acre lake after carp it contains 5 twenties and the rest of the carp in there are mid-doubles area in weight. there are roughly 50carp in there at the moment. the lake has one deep end and one shallower end, the deep end is 7ft and the shallower 4-5ft, just wondering what tactics will pick them off what water depth to fish etc.

keep the bait going in, 25 fish per acres quite high, so they should keep feeding. fish the north-east corner, as its shielded from the coldest winds, but gets the warmest.

Don't get hung up on depths though Nick.

Quite a few people think that you need to fish in deep water during the winter but if you're fishing with two or three rods, put one really close in and don't be concerned if it's only 2 feet in depth (day or night).

Try to be as mobile as possible and if you see a fish, cast to it.

Good time of the year to leave the front door open and use those eyes and ears.
