the word specialist is a bit misleading really Eddie, we have toyed with that words since the days of the specimen hunter, and that didnt sound right either. If you have an interest in more than one specie and you enjoy catching fish and sometimes you go out for one particular specie and set your stall out for that specie, be it sea coarse, or game fish, then basically you are specialising, so chances are you will be a specialist angler Eddie.
The quality of the magazine is state of the art, the print wont rub off but some of the ideas might?
Membership at present costs ?20 but apart from being a member of the only regonised umbrella group which has been set up to encompass all specialist and pleasure anglers, you are also fighting for your angling, via the angling fighting fund and the good works done by the pro active SAA, check out the SAA site for more details, you would be most welcome aboard Eddie, we certainly need your support mate!
The SAA has a long and rich history going back to the Northern Specimen Hunters Group days, the NASG, NASA, SACG and now SAA, we may have changed in formats over the years but basically the same ideology applies
