Perhaps this explains the bubbles we have always assumed were made by feeding fish.

I don't know about fish breaking wind. But the other day I was down wind of three Scousers who were fishing in a pike match.

Uuuuurrrgghh!!

Eddie, I used to fish with a scouse mate of mine, was bannished to Wigan, he was an eel timebandit and because the dole money was a bit low he used to make this dish called "a scouse" and it would last him until his next boilie giro arrived. I never tried any as it didnt look much better than his eel baits, is this some traditional Liverpudlian dish and whats in it Eddie?

Br Nicholas,

Eddie has already detail this dish.

Basically it's a mixture of old mutton, rancid pig fat, old engine oil and roots from stinking knobwort grown next to wrecked cars in Toxteth.

Added flavour is available from water used to wash the underpants of lifers in Liverpool Central Penetentiary.
