Well had my day fishing at Woodland waters today and learnt one thing, i need a new feeder rod.......

All i managed out of the match lake was one very very lethargic common carp, it was a good bite but when i struck i wasn't sure if i had a fish on and carried on to just reel in thinkin i'd missed it, but 20ft from the bank the fish surfaced on its side and continued to play dead all the way into the net, even when i had the fish in my hands i wasnt sure if it was alive or not........

i mean, have you ever check a fishes pulse???...........

Could it have been last nights freezing point temperature that chilled out this fish, it was most peculiar,

It's happened twice to me last season, one from the GUC around 9lb on 2lb line fishing for roach, and a bonus fish from a commercial, in a match, also on a cold day just over 14lb. . No way would I have landed them in july /august on that set up. I think your cold water theory is correct.
