Does anyone have the contact details of a good independent float maker?

I would like to have a quantity of up to 50 floats made, but none of the major float manufacturers are interested unless the order quantity is over 1,000.

I did once buy some really superb floats from Geo. Riley, but I have since lost his address.

Peter,

Try Chris Lythe on 01423 867267. He largely makes Centre Pins but also floats.

He has a website but I cant insert a link.Try a Google search instead.

Are these the Trent Trotters?

Thanks Mark, I'd appreciate that.

I lost my last one a week or so after we fished the Avon and have tried "altering" a few old floats - all miserable failures!

I bought some grayling floats from Chris Lythe last year,very good too wire stem,fluted balsa body,and cane top,there very good,caught a lot of grayling and chub on them.

Many thanks.

I e-mailed a well known float makers about 10 days ago to ask if they could make a quantity for me.
After 7 days and no reply I called them on the phone from Holland to enquire if they had seen my request.
The said that they hadn't seen it, but then it was no surprise as they,
"don't use the Internet much"
And this from a Company where you can order, wait for it . . . . . . . . . . . .
On line ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Typical!
