Hi FM members,
I am fishing my first match on the the Aire and Calder Canal (Pollington stretch)later this month. If you have fished this stretch, I would really appreciate any info and advice that may help.
Cheers

Paul, have asked around, but no real info,
I'm led to believe Pollington stretch is
part of Hull District Angling Association
waters. Have looked at their website

www.HDAA.freeserve.co.uk

Only info is 30metres wide. 3metres deep.
There's a couple of telephone numbers that
might have the gen you require.
Best of luck.

Paul.
Small feeder, 2lb bottom, size 18 hook.
Maggots, red and white, casters.
Go through a combination of hookbaits,ie,
double/single or cocktails.
Fish up to the boats.

On pole floats what do the numbers mean ie:4X8 4X10 4X12 4X14 does it mean if you use this size shot or styles that the float will cock in the water.
What about the allowance for bait.
I look forward to any information on this subject.
