Cheap(ish)small,light camera for the Bag

Sorry if this has been covered before(I may have asked before!)......

Looking for a small,but more importantly,LIGHT camera to keep in the fishing bag purely to photograph thr odd fish or swim or panorama....

Cost not that critical but its use will be limited so don't want to pay hundreds....!!

This month's What Digital Camera lists the Canon A480 as one of their highest scores at £70 or for another £15 the Panasonic DMC-FS62 is smaller and lighter and has image stabilisation, also a very high score.

Thanks for that Mark-I intended buying that Mag but thought I would ask FM posters first......have to say I expected a bigger response!!

You should focus (pardon the pun) on a wide angle lens so you get get it into tight swims and up close.

I would look at the Fujis or Lumix range.

This Fuji for example - although you might find it cheaper than Jessops...

It has a 28mm wide angle yet goes to 140 telephoto. Useful!

PS - They have one in in the Maidenhead store ..... ;)

ps It wasn't you who caught the 2lb+ roach from Spade Oak or the 3lb plus crucian from Medmenham backwater was it?...as reported in marlow AC newsletter
