Birmingham & Coventry Area

It is becoming a distinct possibility that I may be moving to the Birmingham area. Naturally I have already started looking at the fishing!! - Can anyone offer pointers to areas/clubs that I could join.
I'm moving from Hampshire where I've been enjoying barbel and chub fishing mainly on the Dorset Stour although I also enjoy Tench/Carp on estate lakes and gravel pits. Any help would be most appreciated.

Tony, your best bet would be to get the Birmingham Anglers Association book (BAA). It's about ?30 for the year and entitles you to fish stacks of river lengths, stillwaters and canal stretches.

I know! - just when I started to get to grips with the Stour a bit - gutted!
But needs must and hopefully I can get back to the area after a few years. I still plan to use my club membership for the rest of the year (just have to put up with a bit of travelling for a while.)
