im going on holiday in september.
fancy catching a few chub and barbel.any suggestions on whitch river to fish. not to interested in sitting it out for massive fish.but a chance of a double would be nice.
also any reports of good guest houses would be handy.the royaltyview sounds nice being on the banks of the avon and not to far from the throop fishery.so any body stayed there.or fished there with information on methods bait etc.
would be mutch apretiated.
thank you

Never fished the royalty but throop is about 3 minutes from work, I probably can't tell you any more than you can pick up in the weeklies, but September rain and the Stour will probably make it a bit hit and miss.

If you want fun and numbers of fish try the Severn at Bewdly.Day tickets are available on several stretches.

'Royalty View' in Christchurch is ok! Book in.. Joe Harrop is the owner and his hotel backs onto the 'Royalty Fishery'. He is also a top 'barbe'l angler and has got his own named swim. Joe's Hole!
