Happy Memories

Thanks to Mark for the mention. I remember both matches very well but I had conveniently forgotten how b****y long ago they were! I fished the swim twice more, once for an Angling Times feature with Mac Campbell. The river was rising and colouring fast and the slack quickly disappeared. As I remember it Pete Hutchinson caught a couple of small chub from another slack and I was photographed proudly displaying them as caught from 'the record breaking swim' which was by then a raging cauldron....that's showbusiness! The second time was in another match, the river was low, clear, cold and un-cooperative........I blanked.......is that showbusiness too?
