I bought two of these last year. I have been really pleased with them. Not light but solid and well made.

Nice little reels, I got two of those myself, and liked em so I got two of the 4000's also. As you say they are solid little things.

What's the line on the spool Ray?

Perfect, thanks Ray, exactly what I was after that. Glad to hear you're happy with it.

After months of searching I’ve finally managed to get hold of a lighter ci4 version of an aero reel. With the oversized spool I hope to reach out to those Bass next Summer.

I ended up going for the 4000 in the end. Quick question, has anybody had issues with these reels making a grinding / rubbing noise internally when from new? Both of the reels I bought make this noise and I'm considering sending them back. Not what you expect of a high end reel from new...

I have a video that I was gonna put up of the noise but I'm not sure how to do it on here.

You can upload videos to YouTube and it'll do any conversions for you. If you choose 'Unlisted' it will only be available via the link you provide, not for general YouTube viewing. You can just paste the link into your message.

I have the same reel and have no issue with grinding or rubbing noise… are you using braid that can some time make a sound when under pressure coming though the rod eyes when winding in

Hi chaps, thanks for the replies. I have made an unlisted video as above.

Knew it couldn't be right. They'll be going back me thinks.

I've never seen anyone wind in like that!
Why didn't you wind them at normal manner/speeds to show the noise they make.
I think all reels will sound like that if you wind them in that fashion!
