Shimano GT4000 XT-7 Baitrunner

Anyone got any info on the reel? I’m looking to get one for general feeder work. I know they’re old but I have 2 of the 6000s and like them, although they’ve not had much use.

What are they like, size wise, in comparison to the newer ST FB/FA? I generally go for 4000 or 3000/2500 size in Baitrunners as I’m not targeting 20lb plus fish.

After the avalanche of helpful advice on this thread, I bought one! :wh

It arrived and I’m very pleased with the action and build quality of the reel so I’ve bought another and, since they’ll take 300m of 15lb Daiwa Hypersensor, I’ll replace the two large 6000 size Baitrunners on my two Abu Max Specimen 2.25lb rods as I do prefer compact reels as long as they’ll do the job.
