Leads for stick float fishing with hemp.

Many years ago I used hemp on the hook under a stick float for roach and dace. Using ordinary shot resulted in false bites when the fish went for the shot. I found some small strips of lead with a slot along the length and using these stopped the false bites. I think they were made by Shakespeare.
My question is, is anything like this still available ?
