I have a telescopic 4.5m carbon net handle that has all it's joints re-inforced,after falling into the drinck three times much to the amusement of onlookers whilst struggling with a net handle that was to short.Reach is not an issue I just prefer a alluminium one like I used to have until I dropped it into the docks
