Bruce Ashby Rod ?

While I was down the tip the other day I picked up a Bruce Ashby rod mainly because it had a full set of Fuji Sic rings on it. The rod has , S F 12 Carbon Aramid Carb written on it. Has anyone got any idea how old, it's test curve ect .It cost me a jar of coffee .

I gave Bruce Ashby a ring,he could'nt be more helpful turns out to one of a pair built for Jim Davison the comic and is over twenty five years old built on a Conoflex blank.

Yup, i have 3 of his rods, very good indeed. Fished with JD many years ago at a charity fish-in, he might well of been using that rod.

The rod that I use for 95% of my fishing was built by Terry Smith of Sheffield,another character,my rod is a mixture of North Western and Tricast and is deffinetley a one off.
