I have just come across a Terry smith 14 foot barbel/feeder rod, it incorporates a 5oz quiver and its an awesome tool. The owner used it for long range bream fishing using a method ball and says its made from a north western blank. im going to use it for some barbelling.

can anyone give me some more info on this rod?

also wouldnt mind an avon top for it too.Johnny

Sorry Johnny I've never heard of it and couldn't find any reviews when I googled it.

Terry Smith is an angler of great ability. He was a tackle shop owner, and rod builder of some distinction, in my home town of Sheffield.

I remember Terry telling me that the rod came into it's own for hefting big feeders on the River Trent. And he used it to record some epic catches off the Trent. He made me one for that very purpose many years ago.

Anything carrying Terry's name you just know it's top drawer.
