What not both ! Try one and then the other to see how you cope with each and which is better on the day!
Aye! I could of if I had the whip n pole...
mg:
never mind.
the lake was semi busy (about 11 anglers) couple had juniors with them, so great to see.
readied my ground bate and pellets.
then set up slowly, whilst the bailiff got to me and loaded my reel for me.
One thing I notived looking at the people fishing, you get the usual that prefer one peg.
And hardly venture out of it...experience I think.
there was pole, waggler rods and even a lad trying fly rod.
But unfortainly the lake is fishing hard.
think only 2 people cought , perch n roach.
get inn!!!
my first cast for years!!
bit hard at first! getting the bail arm....with the duff hand sorted....but sorted in the end!!
small cage feeder....n I thought to keep it simple....ground bait sandwitch I few sweetcorn..single sweetcorn on a 18 hooklenth.
my thinking if the fish arnt feeding why bother with loading the swim..(is that a idea?)
so I used hemp once in a while over the swim.
thers some pretty experience people there, and looking at there tactics against I thought might me done...was good to know that I'm in the same ball park lol.
coulpe of cast went well!! how should I say....dog toffee!
brain to finger co-ord went pete tong...
practice practice.
reeling in was not so bad...slow but gripping the handle was qiute delicate to say the least.
might extend the handle n foam so I can get a better grip..
watching the line and the reel n not having feeling on my fingers was funny!!
all in all a great day....learnt a lot, specialy my rod n reel operation finally put to the test.
buzzing tbh!
upwards n onwards.
