Cork rings?

I have decided to refurbish an old Bruce and Walker rod i have just for old times sake. The problem i have is that the cork handle has had a disagreement in the past with some mice. I am finding it hard to get replacement cork rings to rebuild the butt. The inside diameter is 7/8 with an outside diameter of 1 1/16. I just wonderd if anyone had used cork sheet instead and if so how succesful it was.

I have had a look on various web sites i can only find inside diameters up to 19mm i need 22mm inside diameter

Give it to someone that does it for a living and pass the problem on!
