Day ticket waters near Berkhampstead, Herts

Hi Gents,
Any suggestions for the above ? As much as anything, just a picturesque, quiet water to take someone who gets very little opportunity to get out, with the chance of a few bites.

There are none in Berkhamsted itself to fit your description. The nearest is Westbrook mere in Bourne end but you need to join Boxmoor angling club. No day tickets.
The GUC in Berko is good fishing but far from picturesque and quiet.
Marsworth reservoir in Tring is day ticket and is quite pleasant, but again far from quiet...

Thanks Peter, we sometimes fish the GUC but just wanted to be able to distance from the General Public at the moment.

You could try Tring Reservoirs Wilstone and Startops are hard but Marsworth is the better option if you want a bag of fish nice place to fish plenty of wildlife and popular with bird watchers
