A stunning and rare Hardy Perfect all brass trout fly reel, only 2-1/2″ diameter, wide drum, a rarely seen small size, 1894 model with Rod in Hand and Oval Hardy logo to winding plate, factory white handle, strapped tension regulator with Turks lock screw, central hole to winding plate, dished face with large holes, original left-hand drum screw, opens to show a ball race, all ball bearings correct, original and present, they are loose by design, so take care when opening, open with handle side upward, correct cross-drilled foot, the reel retains nearly all original finish and is a great collector’s piece, catches ever slightly occasionally when turning, otherwise a superb addition to any collection.
