Heres Dunham bridge, upstream are the Dubs, just below the bridge to the left is a shallow swim where, I think was where Tommy sunman lived on a boat of sorts but come winter would move into the bridge inn at the village.
Over the bridge (a toll bridge) a mile further on is the village where Martin would collect his "greaves" in the Dubs, that or lobworms trotted beneath a float that consisted of two albatross feathers lashed together.
They were fished as slider floats, it was said these floats were the original sliding floats to be used in england.
