Predator Plus is a brilliant additive,
It isn't just for predators, I have caught tench on luncheon meat flavoured with it,
Also try food colouring from the supermarkets, Cochineal coloured rice works as a bulk feed.
I think there is a bloodworm liquid as well.

Its for crucians and tench, this guys meat was scarlet when he showed me,he puts a small amount of liquid in a bag, then makes sure the meat gets a coating, puts it in the freezer for two days before fishing, looked good, trouble is he was quietly spoken and with this covid issue I stood about eight yards away,so may have mis-heard him....

Tesco food colouring works on luncheon meat. I like the black colour, it works for roach and rudd.

Don't know about betaine liquid but the powder is an appetite stimulator. Used to use it when carp fishing.

That is what I was thinking Peter, the way he was talking he had been using it for two years and found it brilliant,I should have asked him to speak up,but thought it wouldn't be that difficult to source,wrong.....

Whitty, the colouring only soaks in a bit. Cut the luncheon meat to the size you want, put it in a plastic bag, pour in some colouring, shake bag and then freeze. Good luck. The black luncheon meat worked quite well in clear water over hemp.

At a guess it would probably have been some sort of iquid Liver etract. Thats rich in Betaine & would probably be red.

From memory I think Nutribaits used to sell a liquid version of Betaine in the past....they also used to sell a product call Nutramino that may be worth a look.

Crafty catcher do a lobworm betaine liquid in dark red.
I use it for my worm kebab rigs for tench and for perch fishing.... stains everything lol.
Not sure if it's improved my catch rate but I use it anyway to add to chopped worm

I looked at the Ringer stuff, the betaine liquid is clear, the other two are liquid dye with some flavouring(not betaine lol),thought about trying the red one though...

Ben,the fella said that you had to put it in the freezer to stop getting covered in the stuff, not applicable to worm mind....
