River taff, day ticket/overnight

Afternoon everyone, I've ended up with next Wednesday day and night spare and would like to hit the taff in the hopes of bagging myself a barbel. The reason for a day/night is I'm off work and have a date in Cardiff on the Thursday so though I would travel up a day early.

Does anyone know of a club/stretch where I could grab a day and hopefully night on the bank?

Sorry mate,i've chatted to some guys who fish it and live locally,but they were members of a club,good luck on the date....

Thanks, I may end up on the Wye but I had wanted to stay closer to Cardiff. I look at the Ely but it doesn't seem that Great for barbel or an overnighter
