How much of Rod Hutchinsons Shellfish sense appeal should I be using in a one pound mix, someone remind me.

The label's gone all manky and I can't read it.

Thanks Dave, haven't used it for a while, I think I'll keep it down to 1ml,I'd rather too little than too much.

Not yet.

Would you recommend that in preference to an "artificial" additive and would that be sufficient flavouring on it's own?

I was planning to use about 2-3ml of red crab and some garlic salt, plus 1 ml of the shellfish s/a.(for barbel)

shellfish s/a is natural. oyster is a nice, thick gloopy additive, they arent really flavourings as such, but they flavour the bait (if that makes sense?). think "attractor" rather than "flavour". lots of the asian foods make excellent additives, shrimp paste, belachin (concentrated crustaecean), thai fish sauce. loads of them

Just rub it all over Cakey, or eat it?

So,do I use oyster instead of s/a or as well as?

drop the garlic salt and red crab (flavour?).
use sense appeal, oyster sauce (lots of msg and salt already) and garlic paste
