Hi. I usually post on the coarse fishing pages but thought my enquiry might ring a bell with you specialists..
Bought the above. No distinguishing marks on blank which is a dull almost charcoal grey colour. Handle section approx 6'.top slightly shorter by 5 "
Just wondered if anyone had any recollections on this blank. Said to be 2lb which sounds a lot for an old blank. I suspect its last century. Not too thick. Thought maybe a carp blank! My hardy barbel was about the same size and weight. I have a late sportex barbel twin tip which persuaded me to buy this one.
I usually fish with barbel rods but really only for carp up to mid doubles.as that's what is around here. I have a nice pair of peregrine Harrison torrix's( which will be buried with me). I am in Essex. Any suggestions where I can try them for the species they were made for? regards Alec

I think you will find they are carp rods,I had a pair made up,the tip being six inches shorter rings alarm bells to me...

No problem mate...they were cracking rods back then,I got shot purely because I don't use 2lb t.c. for anything, even carp...
