What is this?

Hi folks. I bought one of those boxes of small bits from EBay., Swivels, beads, leger stops etc etc.
Included was some of these. They are great for attaching a free-running link leger. I don't know what they are actually supposed to be for, or what they are called or where to get some more!
They are made of plastic, and so, unlike using a split ring, there is no danger of abrading the line.

It's a gadget to test hook knots, just a bit of a gimmick nothing more.

It's a 'run ring' main!y used for legering. Thread it on your line then add a spring clip to the 'pointy' bit then attach lead/feeder/ rotten bottom.

They're really good, I use them for pike fishing.
