Hardy Perfect all brass 3-1/4″ fly reel c 1894 with silver rim & superb Farlow leathe
Extremely rare Hardy 3-1/4” all brass Perfect fly reel with silver rim dating c, 1894 complete with a beautiful fitted Farlow block leather case showing lovely age patina.
The winding plate stamped with Rod in Hand and straight line logos, original white handle, central hole and 3 screws securing the check wheel to underside, strapped tension regulator, nickel pillars and rim, slotted foot blade, dished face with large and small ventilations, the original drum screw has sheared, internal check with loose ball bearings, the reel turns beautifully smooth and straight, it retains virtually all original finish,
the case is stamped C Farlow 191 strand London, red baize lined and comes with makers original strap & buckle, good tight stitching all through, no initials or names,
