The Berkshire based Edward Barder Rod Company has issued an appeal for information which might lead to the recovery of an irreplaceable collection of rods, reels and other valuable items of tackle. The appeal is reproduced here on behalf of Barder’s client.

A Reward of £5,000 will be paid to anyone who provides information that leads directly to the recovery of the stolen items listed below and the arrest of the thieves.

Theft of a large number of collectible rods and reels. 10th November 2017.

Listed below are just some of the items of collectible fishing tackle stolen (to order according to the police)  shortly before the evening of Thursday the 9th of November from the Hampshire cottage of a client of the Edward Barder Rod Co.

The property was alarmed and only fishing tackle was stolen. The list below  represents only a small portion of the rods and reels taken.

If you are approached by anyone offering items matching the descriptions listed, please contact the police and Edward Barder. A description of the person or persons concerned and a vehicle registration if possible would be useful. Please do not put yourself at risk during any such dealings.
