St. Johns
A new St. Johns carp record has been set by 14 year old Colin Johnson from Bolton. The fish, a mirror carp, weighed 32lb 4oz and was caught on a Mainline Activ 8 boilie.

Also on St. Johns, bait baron Bob Baker of Richworth Baits spent a rare couple of days fishing with his son Colin who caught a personal best mirror of 27lb. Believe it or not, baits were supplied by Richworth.

Ryan O’Dyer and his friend Mick Neale, both from Birmingham, made their first visit to St. Johns and caught a 27.02 mirror for Ryan, along with a 26.02 common for Mick. It was Ryan’s personal best.

Bait was Nash whisky boilies fished at 25 yards range using the method feeder.

Hardwick LakeJust across the road on Hardwick Lake Andy Powell from Birmingham netted a 30lb 9oz mirror. The bait was a pop-up Nash boilie.

Carp Society member, Craig Downie won a Carp Society raffle prize of a week’s fishing at the Linear waters. So far he’s has caught a 32.08 fully scaled mirror along with a mirror of 19.04.

The fish were caught on fish meal boilies – on the bottom.

Manor Farm Lake
Seventeen year old Russell Hughes from South Wales is amongst the fish on Manor. On his first day he netted a 31lb and a 26.03 mirror along with a 21lb 8oz common.

The fish are still moving in front of him and more action is expected today (Wednesday). Bait is Activ-8 boilies popped up four inches.

Hunts Corner Lake
On his first visit to the water, Andrew Loaring, from Southampton, fished boilies over particles and managed a 29lb fully scaled mirror and a 24lb 8oz mirror.

New Videos from the Original Video Company
Len Gurd of the Original Video Company has been filming at the famous Les Quis Lakes in France.

During the seven day filming session there were 205 fish caught – these included two carp over 50lb, 13 over 40lb, 61 over 30lb and 102 over twenty.

There were four catfish amongst the catch which included a 140lb monster caught on 12lb line by Sam Rozier. Could this be a world line class record?

The video covers the Gauntlet Challenge and is presented by Lee Jackson. Release date for the video has not been fixed but it will be in the next few months.
