FISHERS GREEN BARBEL

Geoff and a cracking 11lb 1oz barbel
After a cold and relatively unproductive spell for barbel on all of RMC Angling’s river venues the conditions have finally brought the barbel back on the feed. As water temperatures surged to 45 degrees Fahrenheit and above at Fishers Green there were plenty of good fish to be caught.

Fishers Green produced some excellent chub during the colder conditions and it has been at the forefront of the return to barbel form with a number of good fish reported, including several doubles.

One angler certainly getting amongst them was venue regular and meat rolling expert Geoff Bowen who is pictured above with a cracker of 11lb 1oz that he took on Bacon Grill flavoured with turmeric and curry powder. Geoff rolled the bait on a size 6 hook to 15lb braid and also took a specimen of 8lb 2oz during his session.
