The National Association of Specialist Anglers and the Specialist Anglers Conservation Group are uniting to form the Specialist Anglers Alliance.

The two are joining forces with the aim of further uniting the sport and to give specialist anglers a more powerful voice.

It is expected that FISHINGmagic contributor Barrie Rickards will become President of the SAA when the merger takes effect from next Spring.

Barrie said, ‘The object of the new body will be to enhance all fishing, to fight the corner of any member group or individual whether that person or group’s interest is barbel or pike or bass or ferox trout or whatever.’

The group will be represented by the NFA in the National Anglers Alliance.
