The Barbel Society are proud to present ‘Running Water 2010’, a celebration of fishing in rivers.

Following the massive success of last year’s Barbel Show, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, but with a slightly different focus, towards all species that swim in rivers, both here at home and abroad!

This year’s speakers include; ·

  • Pete Reading talking about avoiding Hippo as he tries a river or two abroad;
  • Phil Smith (He of the amazing record of 16 double figure barbel from 16 rivers in one season!) talking about the challenge of catching record sized fish;
  • Pallatrax on rigs and tackle needed to deceive;
  • Martin James on – well who knows, this one could go anywhere but we guarantee you will be spellbound as Martin is a top class speaker!
  • Gary Knowles on catching big fish from northern rivers.
  • Representatives from the Hampshire Avon Roach Project on progress so far.
