ST JOHNS
Local angler Stuart Roper from Witney caught two mirror carp of 20.05 and 22.14 plus a 21.10 common when he fished particle hook baits with pellets in PVA bags at 30 yards. Stuart then went on to catch a new lake record tench of 11.15 and a smaller fish of 7lb when he fished maggots.

Besides this PB and the seven pounder Stuart has caught other tench of 9.05, 6.04, 6.08, 10.14, 5.14, 5.08, 7lb, 9.03, 8.08, 9.01, 10.09 and 10.03. All of the bigger fish were witnessed by bailiff Roy Parsons who also took the photographs. This makes a total of four double figure tench that Stuart has caught in this session. All were caught on maggots and half way through the session Stuart who had started off with carp in mind went home to collect his lighter rods which were more suitable for the tench. In addition to the three twenty pound carp already reported Stuart caught others of 18.12, 24.07, 19.04, 16.05 and 14.03 – Some session [which hasn’t ended yet]. Well done Stuart. We have been told by Angling Times that the 11.15 is the biggest tench reported so far this year.

Stuart Roper Finished his incredible three day session with a catfish of 22.08 and mirror carp of 31.10, 22.08 and 18lb.

Ian McMillan fishing with Mainline Pro Active Boilies and with Bankside Grubber Pellets in PVA bags at 60 yards has caught a mirror of 20.06.

Cardiff’s Anthony Bunker has caught mirrors of 30.08, 19lb and 9lb by fishing single 10ml M8 Boilies to the central channel at 30 yards range.

Matt Clover who is six days into a weeks session has caught 15 carp including mirrors of 29..02, 27.08, 20.06, 20.04 and a 26.10 common – the others were all doubles. Matt who is from Lincolnshire caught his fish on Mainline Fusion Boilies and Mainline Response pellets in PVA bags.

Matt Fysh from Kings Lynn caught a 27lb mirror off the surface and followed this with another at 27.08 caught on the bottom with a particle hook bait and boilie stringer fished at 40 yards.

Korda Tackles Terry Hogg on just his second visit to the water caught one of the big catfish at 61.08. On his first visit he caught the small plated mirror at 36.01. What will his third visit produce for him?

HARDWICK LAKE
A Mr Foreman from Oxford reports catching two carp on maggots from the margins. The mirrors weighed 31.08 and 23lb.

Colin Sanders fished lobworm in the margins to tempt a 31.10 mirror. It is a PB for Colin who comes from Wolverhampton.

Will Andrews from the West Midlands caught a 31.04 mirror carp when he fished monster crab boilies fished over free offering that he had put out to a 50 yard spot with a throwing stick.

HUNTS CORNER LAKE
The water has produced carp to over 31lbs in the last few days.

MANOR FARM LAKE
Wolverhampton’s Chris Lowe fished single SBS Baits at 70 yards to catch a 24.02 mirror and a double.

Bankside Tackle’s Jon Finch caught six carp to 22.06 off the surface. Jon fed Bankside Pro-Floater as free offerings and Bankside Nut Pop as hookbaits.

Andy Whitehead, who is in the RAF and stationed at Brize Norton caught a personal best 32lb linear scaled mirror. Andy who fished with plastic corn along with pellet filled PVA bags at 45 yards said it beat his previous PB by over 12lb.

With Andy is his friend Adrian Woollas from Lincoln who fished single tiger nut hook baits at 60 yards to catch mirror carp of 28.01, 18.02 and 17lb.

OXLEASE LAKE
Mike Harris from Gloucester caught a personal best 19lb mirror by fishing particle hook baits and pellets in PVA bags at 20 yards range.

Gary Buele from Ipswich fished Richworth Ultra -Plex Boilies with the method feeder at 40 yards range to catch four doubles.

The carp on Oxlease were spawning early this morning (Friday 10th June).
