ST JOHNS
Steven Hart was over the moon with the capture of a 26.08 catfish. Although fishing for carp with a single grain of corn over spodded pellets and crushed hemp, Steven, who is from Coventry, couldn’t help smiling at his first ever catfish. His only other fish so far as been a tench but there’s still is a good chance with the carp before he goes home – they are showing in large numbers in the shallower water.

Lee Collins who was fishing off the point without any success moved onto the shallows when the fish started to show there. He did manage a low double on Mainline M8 Boilies in the short time he had left before going home.

Reports have come in that an angler on the water has caught a common carp of over 37lb.

OXLEASE LAKE
The water continues to fish well and good numbers of fish are starting to be caught.

Oxford’s Dominic Spalding who holds a Linear Winter Permit has caught 15 carp and dropped four in a 24 hour session.

The best a mirror of 30.08 is a new thirty for the water. Dominic fished with Solar 10ml Banana Caramel, bright yellow pop-up boilies along with pellets in PVA bags at 65 yards to catch all his fish.

Stewart Roper who is also from Oxford fished particles at 50 yards over heavily spodded pellets to catch five carp including mirrors of 20.12 and 25.02.

Reports are coming in that the water is fishing very well – one angler reports catching 22 carp to over twenty pounds.
