BIG TENCH 2015 the result...

Firstly thanks for all the comments and tench captures submitted, some kosher and some a bit iffy...having used my skill and judgement and in accordance with my reasonable rules set out at the onset..
1st place goes to Flightliner with a 7lb:8 clonker. Well done son..
2nd it's greenie with an impressive 6lb:14.
Joint 3rd it's barbelboi and Jimlad with 6lb:8.
4th it's swizzle with 6lb:2.

Wooden spoons for sagalout and its fishy catchy Ian...

I was especially glad to hear that some of you have felt inspired to catch a bigger Judy this year on the back of this challenge......

I think you did a good job despite the railery, baracking and insults heaped on you by those trying to slip-in last year's fish, etc.

Eh greenie it's a good job it wasn't a live event like a fish in, imagine the size of the flasks being wheeled in if they were all smuggling 8lb tench?

I couldn't get anything bigger than 2lb in my family-size stainless flask from Aldi! mg:
