Peter even though I am a lefty tree hugger I'd much rather argue with you over something important like length of hair on a rig.

I think you represent yourself very well on these subjects.

Thank you Benny, I have enjoyed our debates that have always been with good humour and mutual respect for alternative positions.

Many on here know I rarely use these, but . . . . . . . . .

I have contacted the relevant authorities today to offer up a corner of my very large garden for the purposes of exploratory drilling provided the £100,000 is cleared in my bank prior to the drilling rig arriving.

Interesting programme on sky about fracking, channel is pbs America, repeats at 00.30 worth recording and watching.

after much foi-ing and the intervention of our only green MP defra has released its internal report on fracking which has some interesting and anti- fracking conclusions - including that fracking may very well contaminate our water supply. the report is here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...aft-shale-gas-rural-economy-impact-report.pdf

Of course the Gov claim this was only a draft and it is not to be believed but why the big fight not to accede to the freedom of information request in the first place ?
