Dave Harrell Pro float line, comes in 300m spools with a saving of around 30% on "Floatfish" and slightly lower diameters across the range.
No ! I won't be on principle!
Yes, I bought some in 6lb a few weeks back as a trial. After four or five outings with it on a pin, I liked it well enough to buy some more in 8lb for barbel trotting. I'll probably get some in 4/5lb at some point too.
It looks like your paying over the odds for line because DH has his name on it to me.
DH will be smiling all the way to the bank !
It works out cheaper than Drennan Floatfish, which no one (except perhaps you and the other Sensor fans) thinks is particularly expensive.
Drennan Floatfish (new version) is £3.45 for 100m. DH stuff is £7.99 for 300m. Hardly a rip off based on the name on it.
I find DH and his articles irritating. His products I know nothing about but will not buy on principle as I have no desire to benefit him financially.

We all have principles and mine bear little resemblance to Groucho's!
I made no claims with regards to its diameter. However, as I don't like Sensor, how it compares is rather irrelevant.
Ok Chris, so what do you like better about the DH line than the sensor ,I am genuinely curious.
By the way just in case your thinking of saying it "everything" isn't a good enough answer , break it down a bit for us .
Oh, I forgot to say...I thought you use braid as your main line on the river?
It might be just repackage Sensor line. After all he doesn't make it himself just puts his name to it.
Do we really have to do this again?
I just don't like the stuff, the way it goes crinkly, the stiffness of it, the way that it wants to sink, the horrible memory it has, the way it does all of these things very rapidly after the newness has been knocked out of it. I don't want to be replacing line after every trip out. I know you love the stuff, but I really, really don't. I've had my own experiences of it and nothing anyone can say will change my mind. It does have one redeeming feature, it's bloody cheap. However, I'd rather pay an awful lot more for a line I actually like and I can use repeatedly.
Yes, I have mucked about with braid. Yes, I do like it. However, I found it has a limitation in the lower diameters (I don't want to use 30lb braid when trotting), it's not so much fun in stronger winds or when the wind is coming from a less than helpful direction. The wind picks it up a little easier than mono.
The jury is still out on the DH stuff. It may not live up to expectations in the longer term. Fortunately, it's not overly expensive, so I'm happy to give it a try.
I've no idea why but I don't have the problems with it as you do and obviously that's why I use it.
It may have something to do with you mostly fishing it on centrepins and your habit of using it one time only when you do.
